Saint Peter Did Not Hesitate Allowing Mister Rogers to Pass Through the Pearly Gates and into Heaven

Every Day. He comes home from work. He takes off his work jacket. He takes off his work shoes. He then goes about the rest of his day.

His work shoes come off so easily.

He never comes home and complains that his job is unbearable, or that his boss has unrealistic expectations. He never expresses doubt about not being good at anything. He never says he is not sure what else he is qualified to do even if he could leave his job. He never expresses his feelings of being obsolete and useless. He never mentions his morning commutes into the office, or his daily lunchtime walks, when all he thinks about is finding a way to leave.

Instead, he puts on his sweater and his comfortable sneakers and then, selflessly and honestly, sets out creating a world of curiosity, wonder, joy and happiness. He makes each day a special day.
