The song “Sweet” by Cigarettes After Sex. This song was something that David Lynch mentioned he was listening to lately during a recent interview.
<It is a soft, mellow love song that I could imagine being heard in a Lynch movie if it was a bit more menacing>

<I found this movie on Netflix and started watching it at 1:45pm. Then I got an email that my laptop was delivered to my old office , so I went over there and picked it up and talked with Kevin for a bit. I restarted the movie at 3:35pm. The movie had a good premise, a concrete pour and a life falling apart. It was well acted by Tom Hardy>

<I was able to finish the Julie Becker article. I have saved the article so I can print it off later and research the footnotes. The article on Mundane photography was sent to me by Nancy. She said it reminded her of my photographs. In the article the author recommended trying to get to a place where the subconscious is driving the picture taking and not the active thinking brain. I think it is a good strategy, but it is not how I take images on my phone. I ended up watching the documentary on Windshield after dinner. The house was important for two reasons in my mind: it was the first non-California house that Neutra built; and the Brown family was very prominent in the burgeoning American art world. The article on cooking was written by Jeff, a guy I went to school with from elementary school until high school. He is the Department Chair of Rhetoric at a school in Kentucky. We cook for similar reasons: to show love to the person we are cooking for. Of the short graphic novels I learned about, I have a new tab open to purchase in the future ‘The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse’ It seemed up my alley. Good story, good illustrations. I also opened a new tab to the recipe for turmeric-black pepper chicken with asparagus. I did not get to the other tabs, but did also find that Bill Callahan has a new song out and will be releasing a new album in September. The song is called ‘Pigeons’ and it is a good one. I also explored the tv show called Mindhunters and the Chinese filmmaker Tsai Ming-liang. I want to watch a few of his films, I have for some time. Two of note: ‘The Hole’ and ‘Goodbye, Dragon Inn’.
I will get to the other tabs later. And those tabs will eventually lead to other, different tabs. That is how it works with me, I guess. Always exploring…>
